Webster+Robinella Bailey 8-21-08

Hey everyone, greetings from the land of the sleep deprived. Yep, it's been two weeks, and little Millie is still struggling to get into a routine. I say struggling, but she might be on track with other newborns. It's been three years since we've gone though this and I don't remember Maddie having as much trouble going to sleep at night. You know what they say though, every child is different.

I wanted to share some images from a mini wedding we photographed (the last post was a mini portrait session and today you get a mini wedding!). We were asked to come photograph a small private wedding ceremony for Webster and Robinella the Thursday before Millie was born. It was just the bride and groom, their parents, and Robinella's son Cash, so it was a nice change of pace from our regular big weddings we normally photograph. I don't think I've ever been that close to a couple when they've said their nuptials (not counting Danielle and I). After the short but sweet service, we took Robin and Webster outside and did some fun portraits. Here are some faves from the day...

The happy couple who were willing to traipse through poison ivy and fight off hordes of bees to stand in these cool orange flowers (okay, so maybe it wasn't that bad).

Robin's cute kiddo Cash in his improvised necktie.

And he even had his own ring he was sporting since he was the official ringbearer.

Going over everything with the preacher beforehand.

Webster listening intently.

Webster's dad held the rings on his fingers during the service.

Happy tears.

A few from inside the church.

A little old photo treatment in post.

And then we played on the side of the church.

I added a little funkiness to this one.

There was a cool spiral staircase at the back of the church.

And into the field.

That's all for now... sleep beckons. Let's hope Millie stays quiet for a little while.
