Danielle+Andy 11-01-08

Back at the beginning of the month we had our next to last wedding of the year, the beautiful fall nuptials of Danielle and Andy. Nuptials? Did I really just say nuptials? Sorry, I've been a little under the weather lately and apparently my cocktails of NyQuil and antibiotics are starting to have long term effects.

Back on track, it was a gorgeous autumn day at the Bleak House in Knoxville. Danielle and Andy were a fun couple to be around and they were surrounded by some great friends and family that made the day a blast. And, oddly enough, this was our first wedding at the Bleak House in all the years we've been doing weddings. So it was really cool to hang out in such a historic house and try to put a fresh spin on things. I know, stop talking and show some photos!

We started out at Danielle's house for some prep. I kept asking her to keep the big curls, but she wouldn't listen. I thought it'd be cool looking (and now you see why I wouldn't make it as a hairdresser).

The Bleak House.

The Puppeteer.

Love it!

Nice socks.

Andy being studly.

Waiting for the bride.

Now, KISS!

It's funny how the subconscious works. Check out their engagement photos here. Scroll down 7 images. Notice something uncannily similar? I tell you, that was completely unintentional, but cool because now they can have matching photos for the wall!

They're just a little cute.

Apparently I really liked Danielle's gorgeous dress. Have you noticed some of my favorites are these striking full length verticals?

Stunning.

I think Andy was over photos at this point, but hey, he got to kiss his girl again and it made for a cool photo.

A ring thing.

Bridesmaids Gone Wild!

Dana tried to duel. But I was too fast for her.

Dragging the boy off to the Honeymoon. Yep, he changed into his street clothes. Give him a hard time about that when you see him.

A little sparkler fun.

Thanks again Danielle and Andy!! We hope you love the photos as much as we loved taking them!

That's it for now. I'm slowly getting caught up so there should be a few more blog posts this week. Stay tuned!

Lauren+Kevin Engagement Session

And back to wedding work. Here's another engagement session from our whirlwind month of sessions. Kevin and Lauren are getting married this weekend actually in Knoxville. Doing their e-session so close to wedding time allowed us to take advantage of some great fall colors at one of our new favorite places to shoot, the Ramsey Houe. We had a blast traipsing all over the grounds, climbing hay bales, juggling pumpkins and being serenaded by Kevin on his six-string. We had so much fun, that we were there way past the setting sun and were photographing in the dark (I actually used the iPhone to get focus... yet another reason why everyone should have an iPhone).

Enough talk... bring on the photos!

Be prepared for some awesome fall foliagness (Wes' new word of the week).

We're actually standing in a muddy, almost dried, streambed for these next two.

Hay!

My ABSOLUTE favorite from the day.

Their wedding is going to be fun!

That's all for now. Vacation's over... time to get back to work (though I think I got more work done the last 7 days then I have the last month).

Reese's Newborn Session

Along the vein of variety, we've had a one-year old and an engagement session recently, now how about some newborn images? Meet the ever-adorable Reese. We photographed her Mom and Dad, Julia and Adam, in September for a maternity session and immediately became friends. So we were very excited to hang out with little Reese. Here are few of my favorites from her newborn session:

We start out with a little family portrait. Aren't they a good looking family?

She's so curious already.

Adam's girls.

Piggies!

When Reese's hair gets wet it curls like nobody's business.

Which, combined with cute looks like this, make for an adorable photo.

"I've got two tickets to the gun show..."

"Seriously guys. Here's 'Thunder' and here's 'Lightning'. You don't want to get caught in the storm!"

"Um... I don't know about all this boxing talk. I'm just a sweet little girl... who kicks butt!"

"Check please!"

Okay, I've run out of witty things to say (thank God right?). So I'll just end on a sleepy one.

Can you tell I'm a little punch drunk on NyQuil? Sorry if I got carried away on the "Inside A Baby's Head" stuff. Seems all this vacating at the beach has given me a loverly head cold... fun times.

More to come soon I hope!
