knoxville Engagement Photography - Stacy and John

Okay! Trying again to get caught up on all of these awesome fall sessions that we've been shooting recently! Up today is a cuddly couple!

Meet Stacy and John. Stacy and John are just beginning to plan the wedding and set a date, so the wedding venue isn't known yet. However, Stacy saw pics from Dara's Garden that we'd shot previously and just knew that it would be where her engagement session would take place! And, as always, Dara's did NOT disappoint!

Aren't they a cute couple?!

Always fun to get frisky on a bale of hay. ;)

It was such a beautiful day!

Sometimes secrets are sloppy!

Love this one!

Wes says that I get all "creepy stalker" when I shoot through stuff on sessions. I think it's cool though.

I love this barn so much!

Isn't Stacy going to be a beautiful bride?!

Love this one too!

I'm always a sucker for some sunflare!

This just seems so sweet and serene.

I love couples who are willing to do anything that we suggest. "Hey, get knee deep in those weeds. Hey, let's walk through some piles of cow poo to get to that hay bale. Hey, lay on the freezing cold ground!"

Wes pulled thorns out of his arm and leg for days after wading through weeds to get this shot.

This light was just fabulous!

Then, Stacy surprised us with, "hey at the end of the session, can we get in the creek?" Well, absolutely!!!

A shot of the bling.

Thank you so much Stacy and John! Can't wait until the wedding!

Dara's Garden Wedding Photography - Misty+Matt 10.18.09

Welcome back! We're still surviving this crazy fall somehow and today I wanted to share some awesome photos from the second weekend of our double-header a few weeks ago during Octoblitz. Misty and Matt are a super-sweet couple and had a beautiful ceremony at Dara's Garden in south Knox County. I'll go ahead and warn you now, this post is going to have a lot of portraits. Misty and Matt came back after their big send-off and we had the chance to play until Dara's Garden locked the gates. :)

Here are a few of our favorites!

One of the benefits of the wedding day, you don't have to dress yourself. Matt gets a little tie help.

And Misty gets a little help with a stubborn earring.

Matt shows off the sweet mandolin Misty got him as a wedding gift. He later played guitar and sang a couple songs during the ceremony and the reception.

I love fun brides.

The beautiful bride in the beautiful woods next to a beautiful house. This was our first wedding at Dara's Garden and we found a ton of pretty spots to do portraits.

Classic.

The über-cute flowergirl trying to steal the show during the ceremony.

Happy tears.

Matt and Misty opened a "just married" parasol to walk under as they took their first steps as newlyweds. The only problem was that one of the arms (?) of the parasol got caught in Misty's hair. She was a trooper though and walked away from the ceremony the best she could (very carefully as you can imagine).

Their first kiss after their first kiss. Does that make sense?

I told you she was über-cute!

My geometry teacher would be so proud of the way I framed this one. ;)

Misty had some cool birdhouse centerpieces.

The old newspaper guy in me dug Matt's groom's cake. He's a page designer at the Gaston Gazette in North Carolina.

A scenic first dance.

Misty and her dad twisting the night (or afternoon) away.

Methinks this is my absolute favorite ring photo we've ever done.

Big sky country.

Aren't they cute?

I have a new nickname for Danielle, The Flaremaster.

We then ventured to a hidden gem at Dara's Garden; some cool old buildings like this corn crib.

And this out building.

And this great barn for a great couple.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I *LOVE* this one!

We even played inside the old barn for a few.

Yummy light.

Thanks Misty and Matt for letting us be a part of your big day! It was so nice getting to play so long with the portraits after the wedding!

Later,
Wes

Coming next: Little Wyatt's Family Session!
