Kristy+Beau: The Wedding 05.23.09

Greetings everyone! Good news for you... I'm completely beat down by this weekends double-header (we had weddings Saturday and Sunday) to do my normal on-and-on banter. Two solid days of warm Tennessee sun plays havoc on a man's brain. And Danielle will be quick to tell you, there isn't much left in that department to begin with.

I will give you the rundown though: Kristy and Beau. Married. May. Beautiful. Waterfront.

What? You want more? Okay, okay. May 23 was Kristy and Beau's lovely wedding on the banks of the Tennessee River at Volunteer Landing in Knoxville. Remember their engagement session? If not, go here. The wedding and following reception at Calhoun's was fantastic. Kristy and Beau lucked out with some beautiful weather and were surrounded by a lot of folks that loved them. What more could you ask for on your wedding day?

Enjoy some of our favorites...

The logistics of the day forced Danielle and I to split up, something we're not used to, but Danielle rocked her time hanging out with the girls while they got ready. Here, Kristy shows off the last time she'll sign her maiden name on a credit card receipt while wrapping up at the salon.

And while the gals were getting all prettyfied, I was hanging with the boys on the waterfront doing Beau's photos.

City style.

Danielle unveiling her artistic side. Get it? Un"veil"ing... I know, sad attempt. Sorry.

Beau looking studly on some stairs.

Lipstick touch-up.

A limo with a view.

I did a little experimenting with a few locations. Mainly to keep everyone in the shade as long as I could.

A little old Hollywood-ish look. Check out those eyes!

Cool dresses for everyone.

Some guests were starting to arrive as Kristy was trying to sneak back to the limo. The bridesmaids cleverly tried to camouflage the bride behind their bouquets.

The couple share a chuckle during the ceremony while Kristy tries to squeeze Beau's ring onto his finger. They never seem to fit right the day of the wedding.

Hope Photography is such a good team that even our assistant gets great photos. :) Beth, fresh from her honeymoon, had the nice angle for the jubilation.

The cool couple.

I'm speechless.

Fun in an elevator.

Green with envy.

A nice detail during the first dance.

And a nice quiet little moment during the mother-son dance.

Beau getting jiggy wit it.

Cake Wars!

I shoot the toss, Danielle shoot's the catch. And she caught a great catch.

Cool party favors for the guests... Powerball tickets! And how flipping cool would that have been if this was a winning ticket? And the other photo is a twist on the rings on the bouquet photo. I thought I'd break the rules and turn the flowers upside down.

A Hope Photography first! The couple left by boat. So cool!

We drove down river and I jumped a fence so I could hop on the boat with them for a couple of photos. Sometimes breaking the law is so worth it!

And to commemorate the ride, a little group self-portrait. Sorry there's no Danielle, she and Beth were stuck on the riverbank waiting on us.

I asked Beau to help me off the boat like that, but for some reason he refused.

Big thanks Kristy and Beau!! We had a wondeful time! Welcome home and I hope you enjoy the photos.
