Gatlinburg Wedding Photography - Karin and Joe

Taking a break from fall sessions…well, kinda. Today we have a wedding to blog…well, kinda. Meet Karin and Joe. They came down from Illinois to get married in a very private ceremony at the cabin they were staying at in Gatlinburg. Just because you don't have the big ceremony and reception, doesn't mean that you can't have some great photos of you on your wedding day! Karin felt the same way and hired us to do some portraits of them.

We met at the Sugarlands Visitors Center in Gatlinburg and started there. While we aren't having any winter weather now, we did have a month ago and it was super cold and had even snowed in the mountains just a few days before. However, with a couple from the much colder North, we couldn't wimp out in the cold! We slapped on our heavy jackets, and gloves and made the most of a cold and drizzly day in the mountains!

We thought that this waterfall would be awesome with all of the runoff from the snow, but it was just a trickle.

Still made for a nice backdrop though!

And we lucked out and found a little fall color still hanging on!

One of my favorites!

What? You think it's funny that we asked you to walk out onto the wet slippery rocks in almost freezing weather?!

It's worth it though! :)

Another favorite.

So pretty there!

Thank you Karin and Joe for letting us be a part of your big day! We wish you many years of happiness!

~Danielle
