Knoxville Wedding Photography - Erica + Philip's Reception 08.27.11

Back to back (but not related) Davises! We were hired recently to photograph the wedding reception for a cool couple that went off and got hitched in Italy, but had a get together with family and friends back home in Oak Ridge. Philip and Erica were actually just stopping through on their way from Italy to Hawaii, where Philip has been stationed. Tough assignment, huh? As much as we tried to persuade them, they didn't really see a need to have us stalk, I mean, follow them to Hawaii for photos or to travel back in time to do a session in Italy. Bummer. ;)

Since they got all dressed up, we thought we'd do a few portraits.

We had to search, but we found some greenery around the Pollard Technology Center where the reception was held.

And we found some cool little hills so we could get some big sky in the picture.



Would you believe me if I told you I planned on getting that little blast of sunshine glinting off one of Philip's insignias? Well, I did! ;)



It was a nice, laid back reception. A lot of mingling and chatting.

I love me some M&Ms. But I'll admit I did hesitate about eating their faces.
