Good Tuesday morning gang! I'm going to keep this short and sweet (my words, not the photos) because I have something close to a bazillion things to knock off my to-do list today. Last month we traveled to Gatlinburg for Carly and Tim's beautiful wedding at the
Lodge at Buckberry Creek.
Carly and Tim were out-of-town clients so this was our first time meeting face to face. It's nice, though, when things click right away with a couple and we make beautiful photos together. That's when you know they chose wisely. :)
Apparently part of the getting ready process is to poke the bride in the eye.Brittany went nuts shooting the shoes!Tim and friend locked out of their room.Beers and buds.Carly gets a little help off a stool after getting the dress on.We got so many great photos of Carly and Tim that it ought to be illegal.Tim wore his grandfather's nuclear submarine cufflinks.Danielle and her sun flare.Me loves this photo.Oooh, this one too!Getting a little misty-eyed before the ceremony. We made Brittany climb a tree for this bird's eye view.
[not really]Poor Carly had to stare into the sun the entire ceremony. She did great though. Burned retinas will heal, right?I do.It was a little warm that day.We found some hidden places to do photos. But we couldn't ignore the view!Only one adjective for this one… HAWT!If you've followed our blog this year, you know; it's the year of the shotgun!I love it when a mosh pit breaks out at a wedding.Nice view.If there are dead stuffed critters around, you have to know I'm going to work them in somehow.*clink, clink, clink, clink…*I don't think that moose on the wall is really a single lady.Hey fella! There were some mad dance skills by the wee ones at the wedding.Well, mostly mad anyway. And by mad, I mean insaneBetter hope he doesn't sneeze. And lastly, a nice little handheld, one-second exposure with the moon as a backlight. Gotta love it.Thanks so much Carly and Tim for choosing us to be your photographers. We had a blast and we hope that you love the photos!!
ps: Almost forgot this last one…
We stupidly decided to come back via the Spur (the link between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg). We were hungry and somebody (not pointing fingers, but it's the woman I married) wanted to hit up Red Lobster for some clam chowder. The problem was there was a Rod Run in Pigeon Forge. We got about two miles away from the city limits and we hit a parking lot. We crawled for TWO HOURS before I was able to hit the emergency lane and take a side road out of the madness. Yep, that's literally one mile an hour. So to kill the time, I whipped out the iPhone and thanks to the Netflix app, we watched some comedy specials (Jeff Dunham; "I keel you!!!"). We finally made it home after stopping for some late night grub at IHOP (the Lobster was long closed by then) around 2 am.
We Hopes know how to party.
