Next up is a great engagement session with one of our May '09 couples, Amanda and Jason. We met them out at Butterfly Gap Retreat, where the wedding and reception are going to be held. We've talked about how much we love Butterfly Gap before so I'll spare you all the mushiness. But this was the first time we've done an engagement session out there and it was great! It was awesome having time to walk around and explore the beauty of the Gap without having the time constraints of a wedding. And it helped that we had such a super-cool couple to play along. Amanda and Jason were up for anything we threw at them and you know that always makes for great photos.
On with the show!
Utilizing some of the cool walls at the Studio.
Aren't they cute?
Jason playing Gap model.
A little shadow love.
Jump!
These next two are me getting experimental.
'Cause sometimes you just have go try something a little different and new.
Peek-a-boo.
After playing around the Studio, we headed down by the pond for some post-sunset fun.
That's all for now. I might be able to squeeze another post in before the vacation is over. We've had a cold front move in and, even though Maddie doesn't think so, it's a wee bit too chilly to hang on the beach and play in the water.
Catch you later!

I'm really digging your use of fill flash here! Really subtle, but beautifully done! Handheld flash? Off-camera? Any secrets you can share? ;)
Looking good Amanda! These are great Wes! Rock that off-camera lighting!!
Thanks for the comments ladies!
Kelly, I'll send you an email tomorrow if I get a chance. Tara knows... off camera lighting is the way to go!
