Knoxville Wedding Photography - Beth+Adam 05.19.11

Greetings everyone! I hope you all had a nice three day weekend (for those that get the time off). Today on the blog is a rare Thursday wedding from a week and a half ago at the gorgeous Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm in Knoxville. Adam and Beth had a beautiful wedding in the woods followed by a super-fun reception at the pavilion.

Let's start off with some details…
Lisa Foster did an amazing job on the bouquet!

Adam and his boys.

The groom.

Beth's mom helps with a last minute touchup.

Mirror, mirror...

Here comes the bride!

The handoff.

I love moments like this.

Instant classic! Grandma was so little compared to me that if she'd stayed still I could have used her as a tripod. :)

My favorite! And it was the Adam's idea!! Score one for the groom!

Danielle doing her shoot-from-the-shrubbery thing.

Beth and Adam love to fish so they did a "first cast" together.

How cute is that?

On the beach at Hunter Valley.

First dance snuggles.

You know I had to use that reel for some ring shots.

And on some bamboo rods they had at the reception.

Beth's dad is an Army colonel and Adam is an Army vet, so there were plenty of HOOAHs! yelled during dad's toast.

Adam and Beth wanted some sunset photos and lucky for them, the sun poked out of the clouds just enough for us to grab these before it ducked below the horizon.

They took a reception break and we walked around for a few portraits.

Love this one!

More of a cake skirmish than cake wars.

Sometimes you have to use both hands to get the big bites in.

One of the funniest garter retrievals we've seen.

Mybubblesmybubblesmybubbles!! (Sorry, I've seen Finding Nemo one too many times.)

One last hug and some advice from dad. :,(

Thanks so much Adam and Beth! We couldn't think of a better way to spend a Thursday than at a beautiful wedding like yours! :)

Newport Wedding Photography - Marissa + Nate 05.14.11

Happy Wednesday everyone! Grab a comfy chair and be prepared to be blown away by Marissa and Nate's absolutely beautiful wedding. I'm going to go ahead and warn you that I'll run out of adjectives to describe this one. I hope you're not offended by "awesome" "gorgeous" "fabulous" "beautiful" "rad" "cool" "amazing" "aaaaaahmazing" or "absolutely aaaaaahmazing". ;)

Marissa and Nate got married at her grandmother's house in Newport. The weather, being typical East Tennessee weather, teased them all week long leading up to the wedding. Rain and wind and more rain can all throw a kink in the plans of an outdoor wedding, but thankfully it held off on the day of the ceremony and made for some gorgeous light and clouds for us to shoot with. Marissa and Nate and their families worked so hard on this wedding and I think it shows.

I'll shut up know and let the photos do the talking...

I say this with a staunch record of being a heterosexual male… Marissa's dress was amazing!!

Danielle got creative with the shoes.

Hair and makeup.

OMG (Oh my gorgeous!!)

What a beautiful bouquet!

For a beautiful bride! :)

Nate in the crow's nest.

Nate and his boys were a bunch of cutups.

Marissa's mom and brother give the ceremony a thumbs up.

All of the groomsmen tossed Nate their keys as they walked down the aisle. Anyone know why? They were all tight-lipped (but laughing) about it after the ceremony.

A bride emerges!

Look at that yummy light!

Oops, did the officiant (also Nate's dad) just call Marissa "Nate"? Yep, but we all had a laugh about it. ;)

Now kiss! And dip! Dip-kiss!

And party like a rockstar on your way out!

The dip-kiss reenactment for our photographic entertainment.

Aren't they cute?

Nate and his boys brought some toys to show off for a few photos.

And as always, the disclaimer that no guns were loaded during the photos. We triple checked.

Marissa even got in on the action.

I had to do some old school funk on this one.

Look at that car! A '56 Cadillac that a family member brought to the wedding and let us do some photos with. What a sweet, sweet ride!

We could have stayed in this car shooting all day. Literally. This sucker was so roomy inside that I could have moved in, gotten cable and a mini-fridge and you wouldn't see me for a month.

Sweet!

This one couldn't be more perfect.

(Cup)cake wars!

Swoon! (Danielle's angle.)

Swoon! (My angle.)

Again, Danielle's...

And mine. It sure is awesome having two talented photographers working the same wedding. ;)

Yay!!

Don't mess with Nate. He'll tackle you.

I bet you want an Oreo now, huh?

Those guys really didn't want him getting the garter.

The parting view as a guest drives off. What a beautiful sky!

Marissa and Nate, thank you! What an absolutely amazing wedding! Congratulations!!
