Maryville Family Photography - The Myers Family

We love meeting new clients! We especially love meeting new clients who just happened to find us on the web and want to meet us! That's how we came to know the Myers family. We met with them at Maryville College, but after scouting out the location before they arrived, we noticed that all the fall colors were pretty much gone. So we improvised and headed over to the Maryville greenbelt. I think it paid off since the kids really enjoyed chasing the ducks around before, during and after the session (but don't worry, no ducks were harmed during this photo session)!

Here are some faves...

Check out little Grayson's eyes!

Walking the trail.

One happy family!

Lauren was a cutie too!

Playing peak-a-boo always brings out the real smiles.

What a fun pair!

There was a bunch of fall foliage left at the Greenbelt. It's funny how different two locations, that are only minutes apart, could look so different.

Grayson was a little reflective toward the end of the session.

Maryville Family Photography -The McCloud Family

Happy Thanksgiving (or the day after)!! We hope you all had a wonderful day off with your families. We continue on today with another wonderful family's fall portrait session. Shannon McCloud, the Executive Director of A Secret Safe Place for Newborns of Tennessee, won the session at this year's Secret Safe Place Luau silent auction. We love the Secret Safe Place and what they work for, so donating sessions is a great way for us to help raise a little money for them. Shannon has tried to win every year we've donated to the auctions and she managed to snag one of the sessions this year. I hope it was worth the wait. ;)

Here are few of our favorites...

Patriarch Jeff is a big guy like me... one that can hug the whole family in one swoop.

We were all about having fun... I was joking about the security at Maryville College coming to arrest us when Sarah made a funny face.

Here's one to prove that we didn't just play; we got some nice family photos.

Sarah was a poser.

The real Chris.

Rock climber!

One happy family!

Maryville Family Photography - The Cox Family

Now, back to more fall family photos! We donate several sessions throughout the year to various organizations to use in silent auctions and one of our favorites is Fort Craig School in Maryville. Last year, the winner of the Ft. Craig auction was the school's librarian, Betsy. She was in search of some great family portraits so we met up at the Maryville Greenbelt for some fun.

Here are some of our favorites:

One big happy family.

The newlyweds, Seth and Katie.

Betsy and Kim's kids, Charlie, left, and Katie.

Still in love. :)

Thank you Betsy and your lovely family!

Like I mentioned above, we donate several sessions every year so if you know of any groups that are having a fundraiser, feel free to contact Danielle with the details!

Wes

PS: Spam sucks. And no, I have nothing against the canned "meat" product found on aisle 4 at Kroger. Somehow or other, our blog has been picked up by a spambot (or whatever they're called) and our comments section is being bombarded with spam. I'm notified whenever we receive a comment so I am able to clean them up as soon as they are posted, but I'm afraid one or two might slip through the cracks. And while I may be wrong, you loyal blog readers may really want to know about the latest male enhancements, Russian mail-order brides, Chinese herbal teas to prevent gum decay, etc., I've decided to turn on the word verification feature for now. I hate those things, mainly because they're a pain to read and one more obstacle when you're online.

I do apologize for the inconvenience. We love LOVE LOVE the comments you all post, so please keep them coming. :)

Knoxville Wedding Photography - Melissa + Andy 10.24.09

And now, it's my pleasure to present to you... the last wedding of "Octoblitz"!!! For those just tuning in, I deemed October "Octoblitz" thanks to the 6 weddings we had. We love our job, but I'll be the first to admit that packing 6 weddings into one month is enough to give me more than a few gray hairs.

Our last was a fantabulous affair. Andy and Melissa were one of those out of town couples that we didn't really get to know all that well before the wedding (well, Melissa met with us a couple of times and we didn't scare her off then), but I think we immediately clicked. They are a cool couple that had a really nice, intimate wedding surrounded by loving friends and family.

This was our first ceremony on the University of Tennessee campus. Andy and Melissa attended John XXIII Catholic Center when they both went to school at UT, so it made sense to have the ceremony there. After the ceremony, Melissa scheduled us some play time in downtown Knoxville, so we all hit Market Square and had an awesome photo session. Afterwards, we headed to a rockin' reception at Calhoun's on the River. Mmmm.... barbeque!

Enough jabber, on with the show! (And be warned... there's a lot to view.)

It was a tad bit chilly outside but the bridesmaids improvised.

Some of Captain Morgan's biggest fans apparently!

Melissa looking stunning on the side of the church.

They were a "jumpy" bunch...you'll see more in a few minutes.

Andy rockin' the linen suit and we love that funky little boutonniere by Lisa Foster.

Flower girls dreaming of being a bride someday...I totally should've given them a card!

"Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry..."

Woohoo!

Even though we knew we were going to have some time in downtown, we decided to still do a few portraits around the Center.

Watch where you're tossing those petals!

In the Valley of Fire (well, fire colored leaves anyway).

Danielle had the great idea to swipe a chair from the Catholic Center. Don't worry, we put it back...don't want to upset the Big Guy!

Told you they were "jumpy".

Nice little details.

One of the groomsmen had the great idea of getting the wedding party ice cream cones, though with the chill in the air, the bridesmaids petitioned for hot chocolate instead.

Cheers!

Then we got Melissa and Andy all to ourselves to walk all over downtown for some cool shots.

This is one of my favorites...an ode to "American Gothic".

For the record, that car is parked there; it's not about to run us over.

I don't know what was said, but I'm sure it was funny!

Love these cupcakes from Magpies Cake. Melissa and Andy even let us take some home and Maddie and Millie loved them too!

This was our kind of party!

First dance.

A little heartfelt moment during a toast.

This was first for us in all of our years photographing weddings...a dual catch!

Don't ask...

Told you this was our kind of party. "Don't stop... Believin'..."

One last photo under the floodlights at Calhouns.

Thank you Melissa and Andy for a great wedding! And on a side note, Lisa Saffell from One Enchanted Evening kicked some major booty and was a blast to work with! The day went 10 times smoother thanks to her awesome coordinating!

Wes
